Proclamations

Honor a Special Event, Person, or Important Date

Proclamations in the City of Beeville are issued to recognize and celebrate the people, programs, and events that have positively impacted our community. Proclamations may designate a specific day, week, or month, and can be presented during a City Council Meeting, at a public event, or picked up at the City Secretary’s Office.

Types of Certificates
The City of Beeville offers the following types of certificates upon request:

  • Proclamations – To recognize special events or observances (e.g., Fire Prevention Week, National Library Week, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day)
  • Distinguished Service Awards – For honoring acts of heroism, retirements, achievements such as Eagle Scouts, etc.
  • Certificates of Appreciation – To acknowledge service or contributions to the community
  • Certificates of Congratulations – For milestone birthdays, anniversaries, sports accomplishments, academic recognition, etc.
  • Community Service Awards

Requesting a Proclamation
All proclamation requests are reviewed internally for their purpose, significance, and accuracy. The Mayor reserves the right to modify or decline any request.

To ensure timely processing, requests must be submitted at least two weeks prior to the date the proclamation is needed. If the proclamation is to be presented at a City Council meeting, it will be scheduled based on availability and in the order received. A maximum of three proclamations may be included per City Council meeting.

You may submit a Proclamation Request Form online or contact the City Secretary’s Office at (361) 358-4641 for more information.

Please do not submit requests more than three months in advance.

Proclamations will not be issued for:

  • Organizations or events that do not directly benefit the Beeville community
  • Political campaigns, ideological or religious matters, or individual beliefs
