🎉 The Livestock and Forage Committees of Bee, Goliad, and Refugio Counties present a golden opportunity for all beef cattle producers! Unravel the secrets of your hay, perfect for ensuring top-notch nutrition for your livestock!

📆 Hay Drop-Off: Between Oct. 1-20. Don't miss out! 📍 Drop them at any county Extension office.

🔍 Hay Analysis: Conducted by the renowned Texas A&M Forage testing lab! Dive deep into the quality of your hay. 🎓 Result Day: Nov. 9 at the Forage Seminar. Mark your calendars!

👜 Sample Submission: Pack your hay in a lunch paper bag. Tag it with your name, contact, and a brief description. 🔧 Need Tools? Grab bags and core samplers from any county's extension office:

  • Bee County: 210 E Corpus Christi Street
  • Goliad County: 329 West Franklin Street
  • Refugio County: 414 B. North Alamo Street

🌟 Benefits: Understand hay's crude protein, total digestible, acid detergent fiber (leaf to stem ratio), and more! Determine the ideal supplement levels for winter.

🍀 Hay Categories: Submit up to four samples across various categories:

  • Warm Season Perennial Grasses (e.g., Bermuda, Tifton 85, Jiggs, Alicia)
  • Other Perennial Warm-Season Grasses (e.g., Eastern Gammagrass, Bluestem, Johnsongrass, Mixed Grasses)
  • Warm Season Grasses Annual (e.g., Rice Straw, Hay Grazer, Sudan Crosses)
  • Cool Season Annual Grasses (e.g., Wheat, Oats, Rye)
